๐ Vacancy & Category Analysis โ Constable Driver 2025
| Category | Open (Fresh) | Ex-Servicemen (ESM) | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| UR (Unreserved) | 316 | 35 | 351 |
| EWS | 66 | 7 | 73 |
| OBC | 153 | 17 | 170 |
| SC | 87 | 9 | 96 |
| ST | 43 | 5 | 48 |
| Grand Total | 665 | 73 | 738+ (756 total with adjustments) |
๐ Category-wise vacancy insight (100+ words analysis): The unreserved (UR) category has the highest number of vacancies (351 including ESM), making it the largest pool for general candidates. However, OBC candidates have 170 vacancies โ second largest โ which is significant given the 3-year age relaxation and 35% qualifying marks in CBE (vs 40% for UR). Ex-servicemen have a dedicated quota of 73 vacancies, but note that ESM candidates who have already secured a civil government job are NOT eligible for reservation benefits again โ they can only claim age relaxation. SC and ST vacancies are 96 and 48 respectively. A key insight: candidates from hill areas (Garhwal, Kumaon, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha, and states like Sikkim, Nagaland, Himachal, J&K) get 5 cm height relaxation. Also, wards of Delhi Police personnel (serving/retired/deceased) get the same height and chest relaxation. No separate quota for sportspersons in vacancies, but age relaxation of 5-10 years is available for distinguished sportspersons.
